SPAIN

In March 2012 and February 2015, Goodbye Barcelona was screened at the University Complutense of Madrid, at an event organized by the AABI (Friends of the International Brigades). The 2015 screening was attended by the leading local producers and led to an offer of a Madrid production.

Following the overwhelming success of the award winning Catalan theatre production at Teatre Del Raval , the film was screened to sold out houses in Barcelona over 4 weekends at Cinemes Girona in October and November 2014.

GERMANY

In 2019 the writers were invited to represent the UK in the first International Musical Theatre Symposium at Luisenburg Festspiele Wunsiedel. Following this, the German rights for the show were picked up by Litag Theaterverlag, one of the leading German theatre publishers and agents, who commissioned a German translation and are in negotiations for a full German production.

In March 2014 the film was screened by AGDAZ at cinema 3001 in Hamburg to a packed house and great interest from several German theatres and producers. This led to a screening by KFSR of the musical in Berlin, held in 2014 and again in 2019 at the Babylon cinema.

NEW YORK

The success of the screening led to an offer of a live reading on Broadway from James Morgan of The York Theatre Company. The reading took place to a full house with a New York cast in May 2014, directed by Hans Friedrichs.

ALBA organized a screening of the film of Goodbye Barcelona on December 11, 2013 at the Spanish Benevolent Society of NewYork. The event was attended by members of ALBA as well as various representatives of New York theatres and production companies.

MEXICO

A live presentation of excerpts from the musical was given at Radio UNAM in Mexico City in November 2016. and at Centro Cultural de España in May 2019. A Spanish language hip hop remix of the title song was released in Mexico in October 2019, produced by rapper and producer Jerónimo Gorráez reaching new audiences across Latin America.
